Salam Budi Luhur….!!!

On Thursday, September 19, 2019 in class 7.2.2, the Parent’s Day event was held for new students (Batch 2019) of the Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur. Ms. Fenti Sofiani, S.Pd., M.M as the Director and Mr. Achmad Syarif, S.T., M.Kom as Head of the Study Program lead and guide this annual activity.

 

This annual activity aims to provide information to parents / guardians of Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur’s students regarding curriculum development, graduate prospects, academic and non-academic activities, as well as educational facilities and infrastructure. In addition, this activity also aims to strengthen the relationship between academicians and parents / guardians of Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur’s students.

    

Hopefully with the implementation of the Parent’s Day event, the relationship between management and parents / guardians of the Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur’s students can be well established and they comfortably entrust their daughters to study at the Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur’s. The close relationship between parents / guardians and academicians of the Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur will work together in forming graduates and creating candidates for professional secretaries who are dependable in their fields and virtuous.

Astri Students Participation at National Expo for Science & Technology 2019

On Saturday 14 September 2019, students of the Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur (Astri), Khansa Xaviera Zalva and Putri Almas Maulidia (Class of 2018) participated in the 2019 National Expo for Science & Technology (NEST) with NEO BLITZ and Universitas Budi Luhur. This activity was carried out at Cendrawasih Hall, Jakarta Convention Centre (JCC) for three days starting from Thursday 12 September 2019 until Saturday 14 September 2019.

NEST 2019 is organized by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) which is a multi-event activity, consisting of exhibitions, awards, national coordination meetings, workshops, talk shows, competitions and product demonstrations. This activity aims to enhance the research culture through giving awards to science and technology practitioners and promoting research results so that they can be utilized by the community and industry.

   

  

The NEO BLITZ car at the entrance to the Jakarta Convention Centre is the centre of visitor’s attention. One of them is the Head of Academic and Student Affairs LLDIKTI Region III Jakarta, Drs. Imam Yuwono, M.M, who took a selfie with Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur students accompanied by the Director of Career and Alumni of Universitas Budi Luhur Dr. Arief Wibowo, M.Kom.

The students of the Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur were carefully prepared to meet the needs of the industrial world. The secretarial and office administration fields are the main aspects in developing their talents and careers. Therefore, the involvement of the Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur became evident in the current development of the industrial revolution 4.0. Hopefully this activity can help share information and inspiration that is beneficial to the wider community and industry, especially the students of the Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur.

    

Community Service of Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur at SDN 05 Petukangan Selatan

On Wednesday, July 24, 2019, students of the Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur carried out Community Service activities (abdimas) at SDN 05 Petukangan Selatan. This activity is one of the programs of the Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur Student Organization Academic Year 2018-2019. This PkM activity was guided and supported by Instructors and Committees of 17 students of the Akademi which were divided into 4 topic / material groups. The theme of the abdimas activity this time was learning and being creative about writing instruments, introducing various animals native to Indonesia in English, and learning about time in English.

     

     

The participants of this abdimas activity were students of SDN 05 Petukangan Selatan accompanied by the accompanying teachers, namely Abdul Karim, S.Pd. Ms. Amarullah, S.Pd. Ms. Windarti Sri Mulatsih, S.Pd and Mr. Daya, S.Pd. Participants seemed very enthusiastic about this activity, and they asked many instructors related material that was not understood by them. The Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur’s students as instructors, gave the material in a simple way so that it was easily understood by the participants. In order to further enhance the enthusiasm of the participants, there is a gift parcel for participants who can answer questions from the Instructors and Committees at the end of the activity session.

     

     

This community service activity facilitates the potential of Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur’s students to study, develop, and apply the knowledge learned in lectures to be applied to the wider community in this case SDN 05 Petukangan Selatan students. The benefits obtained for Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur’s students from this activity are experience in sharing knowledge, ways of teaching for children and how to coordinate and cooperate in an activity, while for SDN 05 Petukangan Selatan’s students, they gain additional knowledge in administration and secretariat task since early stage.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing between Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur and D3 Sekretari Universitas Pamulang

On Monday, August 5, 2019, Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur, represented by Ms. Fenti Sofiani, S.Pd., M.M. as the Director, Mr. Achmad Syarif, S.T., M.Kom as Head of the Study Program and Ms. Nur Fitria Sari as Secretariat Staff conducted the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the D3 Secretariat Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Pamulang. The signing of the MoU was carried out at the Universitas Pamulang, Viktor Campus, located on Jl. Raya Puspitek, Buaran, Kec. Pamulang, Kota Tangerang Selatan, Banten 15310.

   

The arrival of the Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur representatives was welcomed by Dr. H. Dayat Hidayat, M.M as the Rector of Universitas Pamulang, Mrs. Dr. Rr Dewi Anggraeni, S.H., M.H as Head of the D3 Secretariat Study Program Faculty of Economics, Universitas Pamulang; Mr. Ir. Boedi Hasmanto, MS as Vice Rector IV of Universitas Pamulang; Mrs. Desilia Purnama Dewi, S.E., M.M as Secretary of the D3 Secretariat Study Program Faculty of Economics, Universitas Pamulang; Mr. Pendi Ahmad, S.H., M.H. and Mrs. Katry Anggraini, S. Sos., M.I.Kom as lecturers of D3 Secretariat study program of the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Pamulang. The signing of this MoU is a form of cooperation in terms of the Tri Dharma in Higher Education and the Secretariat Study Program Curriculum between the Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur and the D3 Secretariat Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Pamulang.

    

Hopefully with the signing of this MoU, it is expected that good cooperation and mutual benefit can be carried out as well as making useful contributions for students, lecturers, and institutions.

Seminar and Workshop at Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur Second Semester 2018/2019

Seminars and Workshop is an annual activity organized by the Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur for students who take Internship and Final Project subjects. The Second Semester Workshop for the 2018/2019 Academic Year was held on Thursday 11 July 2019 in the Universitas Budi Luhur Theater Room with the theme “Secretary and Protocol Protocol Etiquette at Work”. The speaker at this workshop was Ms. Dr. Kartini Istikomah, S.E., M.M as a Universitas Budi Luhur Practitioner and Lecturer who has a lot of work experience in various government agencies such as the ministry and the ombudsman. Participants in the workshop this time were 42 people (students of 2016 and 2015 class) who will carry out the Final Assignment session from 15-19 July 2019.

Before the event began, the participants were entertained by the Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur Choir who sang two songs. The event began with singing the song Indonesia Raya and Mars Budi Luhur by the attendees, then the event was opened by Nadya Rachmadilla Putri (student of class 2018) as the Host (MC). Then followed by remarks by Ms. Iis Torisa Utami, S.E., M.M. as chairman of the committee, remarks by Ms. Fenti Sofiani, S.Pd., M.M. as Director of the Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur, remarks by Mr. Dr. Ir. Wendi Usino, M.M., M.Sc. as Acting Rector of Universitas Budi Luhur. The event was also attended by Mr. AMB Sunten Z Manurung, S.H as the Director of Cooperation at Universitas Budi Luhur, all lecturers and staffs of the Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur.

    

The core of the event at the workshop this time was the presentation of material by the speaker namely Ms. Dr. Kartini Istikomah, S.E., M.M., by sharing a lot of experience working in government agencies, especially related to bureaucracy and protocol. As students who will work later, the participants get a lot of additional insights from what was delivered by the speaker. A secretary at work must be able to place themselves according to their rights and obligations, work in total with full responsibility, discipline, and service-oriented. At the end of the material presentation, Ms.Kartini added that as a student at Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur, in the work place later, she has to be able to apply the values ​​of culture that had been learned during the lecture. After the material delivery, the session continued with a question and answer, there were 5 participants asking questions related to the material presented as well as the experience gained during their internship. This session was closed with an award to Dr. Kartini Istikomah, S.E., M.M by Ms. Fenti Sofiani, S.Pd., M.M and photos together with all who attended this event.

    

    

Then the next event is the presentation of material by Ms. Fenti Sofiani, S.Pd. M.M. about preparing for a job interview. Ms. Fenti conveyed many things that must be prepared before the job interview as requirements for students in the job interview later.

The event continued with the dissemination of further undergraduate study (S1) from the Faculty of Communication Sciences Budi Luhur Team represented by Mr. Doddy Wihardi, SIP, MIKom as Head of Public Relations Concentration and Mrs. Wenny Maya A, M.Sc as Head of the Tourism Communication Study Program. In this session, things were conveyed about further studies from the Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur (Secretariat Study Program) to the Tourism Communication Study Program or the Communication Studies Program (Public Relations Concentration) at the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Universitas Budi Luhur, as to how the lecture will be conducted, how many subjects can be converted and will be taken, and how many semesters must be taken to complete the study.

After the further study socialization session was completed, the series of events ended with a prayer reading led by Mr. Rizky Eka Prasetya, M. Hum. and closed by the Host (MC). Hopefully this year’s seminar and workshop will benefit all participants as an addition to their knowledge and insight so that they can become professional secretaries in the future.
